  1. Midwest Conservative … good luck arguing with these guys … you wont get anything constructive from any of them other than being called a name or two or three … it is fun to come on here and read their comments … and it will be fun to see them slink away after the election is over … though they may stay on here and complain a lot about how the Russians stole their votes … ( didnt work for them in 2016 ) … i have never seen so much bitching , complaining ,whining and snivelling than this site … thats why i stop in … for a good laugh !!!

    1. “…and now back to my faery domain, where the literal press is EEEEvil and an unregulated free market can do anything…”

    2. redlion, do you acknowledge the possibility that Trump could lose the election, or like him, have you already announced that if he is loses, the election is thereby invalid due to something you have made up? And what will you, personally, do about that? I’m trying to get a grip on how many Trumpers have the courage of their convictions. (BTW, convictions are what Trump is going to have plenty of once he leaves office!)

Thanks for doing the ellipsis thing when you right, BTW. That kind of affectation seems really cool to high school students. It helps to form a better picture of you.

    3. Signed, the supporter of zero things constructive except ‘owning the libs!’

Literally burning the world down just the spite any liberals, even if it costs yourself personally is basically the cult’s philosophy anymore.

It’s amazing the cult you guys follow. If you bent over and took it anymore from Trump, your face would turn orange.

      1. A) Some people are miserable, and seethe with hatred of other people. They take some pleasure in making others angry. It’s all they’ve got. We call these people “trolls”. Politics has become a fertile field for them since the Right embraced hate as it’s main means of turning out the vote.

        B) What makes you think redlion’s face isn’t already orange? I see no reason to assume that, and every reason to assume the opposite. You really need to re-think this, IMO.

  2. I have to admit that was a pretty cool idea.

OK, we expect our Prez to have more dignity than that, but all in all, I think it would have been harmless fun and good political theater.

  3. Would have been TV gold but you all still took the bait in talking about this over the real issues.

At least you didn’t need to elect him to hear his stance on super heros…

    1. Yeah because there’s absolutely no talking about why Trump’s been responsible for over 200,000 deaths, sunk the economy, has no fiscal responsibility except handing money over to the rich, or destroyed most protections for citizens in this country and is still attempting to do so.

Absolutely none of that. Everyone just doesn’t like Trump for no reason other than stories like this. Meanwhile, we know who’s holding huge rallies and has brain dead supporters that purchase cheap merchandise tied to their hero and acting like 1930s Germany.

      1. Treatments blocked, policy to introduce the infection to those most susceptible, and removing rights done by the left to create talking points

We have less than 1 month to see who America sides with

        Will be wild

        Please buckle up…

        1. This just may be more paranoid and unfactual than anything we’ve seen yet from our local QAnon rep, the Bonk.

        2. I am confused, Mid Con. Why is Trump planning to block treatment and introduce the infection to those most susceptible? And why are you telling us about it BEFORE the election? Have you finally come to your senses about him?

Nahh, no chance of that. A burst of incomprehensible gibble-gabble is far more likely from you.

BTW, just to find out what you will be saying in a few weeks, can Trump lose for any other reason besides fraud? Just trying to gauge the depth of your criminality.

        3. The left! The left! Libruls! Rabble rabble rabble ..

Fact is, I can point to Trump and various other GOP representatives pushing treatments that had their own vested interest in it. Trump pushed early on a drug used for lupus with absolutely no evidence it worked, and guess what? People who actually needed that medicine couldn’t get it because of this dumbass.

The only thing conservatives ever support are four things:

          – An Evangelical theocratic dictatorship similar to Muslim Middle Eastern countries

          – An authoritarian legal and and law enforcement system who’s only goal is to destroy the poor an marginalized for the gain of the ultra wealthy elite

          – A ‘strong national defense’ that only consists of large government waste with large special interest contracts that Republican’s have their own personal stakes in given to companies like Northrup Grumman and Lockheed Martin

          – A tax plan that does nothing but ever give more to corporations and the ultra wealthy, to utilize to buy out other companies to cut jobs and reduce consumer choice and raise prices

Congrats on being a total dickhead ignorant of any facts. These are the things you support, and you’re a moron for it.

          1. How come I don’t remember ever supporting any of those four things, though being conservative myself?
T in a, I was moderately hawkish vis a vis the E.E. until it imploded. But I also agree with Ike on the military industrial complex. The other supposed three pillars of conservatism – no fucking way.
And as a socially liberal Catholic I’m not even eligible for #1. I’m sure my support of gun control and fighting climate change don’t fit in any of your stereotypes either.

          2. 1.– An authoritarian legal and and law enforcement system who’s only goal is to destroy the poor an marginalized for the gain of the ultra wealthy elite

That is on the active side. When it comes to regulating industry, the right wing plan calls for dismantling the ‘Administrative State.’

If ever there was something that hasn’t received enough discussion, this is it. It may be the case that already there are enough votes on the U.S Supreme Court to dismantle the Administrative State. If you aren’t familiar, this is such things as the FDA and the EPA. Currently, Congress passes broad laws that allow these agencies to administer them and to fill in the detailed regulations that they feel are consistent with the broad laws passed by Congress. It has long been a right wing wealthy elite dream to dismantle these agencies and force Congress itself to write the regulations.

The problem here is 1.it would almost certainly take all of Congress’ time to write the regulations in detail themselves. 2.Congresspeople generally don’t have the knowledge to write the regulations themselves.

2.– A ‘strong national defense’ that only consists of large government waste with large special interest contracts that Republican’s have their own personal stakes in given to companies like Northrup Grumman and Lockheed Martin.

Americans seem to have a love/hate relationship with welfare. Right wingers certainly hate giving people ‘money for nothing’ but they have no problem with far more expensive make work or welfare programs as long as people are doing some work. Bloated military procurement is one area of right wing ‘workfare’ and subsidies to farmers (to be fair, some of them have been greatly reduced over the last twenty years or so) are another.
The newest, since Trump, is the tariffs designed to protect the favored manufacturing workers.

I have nothing against American manufacturers or its employees, but were I an American citizen, I’d fail to understand why I should pay more or have less choice in order to protect their jobs from foreign competition.

All of these things are the right wing form of welfare. They won’t spend a penny for people to ‘sit on their ass’ but they’ll bust the budget to subsidize make work projects and protect favored industries and workers.

          3. Bill, quite frankly the philosophy has moved on from those things, so I don’t even know how you can call yourself a conservative to be honest.

Based on who’s been in office since Eisenhower, its basically been all of those things either at separate times or all together. I would be all for more people like you making claim to that, but I think the definition has changed.

          4. Indy, if you do not mind my butting in, I think what you are talking about is what the Republican Party ACTUALLY works for, while what Bill Deecee is talking about is what actual conservatives want. The two things began separating long ago. I think the separation got rolling under Bush the Elder, and was obvious under Bill Clinton, but I suppose that is hindsight talking. There was room for conservatives to hope their values would be respected for some time, I guess. Not any more. Trump has laid the true soul of the Republican Party bare.

          5. I would say the same thing even before Bush Sr. Look up how Reagan and his staff responded to the AIDS epidemic and where we are now with it. His staff and the press were too busy making gay jokes at the time to think ‘jeez, maybe a virus doesn’t actually care about your sexual orientation when it eventually spreads ..’

I’m not sure who the model conservative is over the past 60 years, but if its Reagan conservatism, he’s done as much damage as any President in laying the shithole that exists now.

His trickle down theory and deregulation basically gave the ultra wealthy the foundation that they live off of now, with no accountability. He blew the deficit wide open by the time he left office, which has only accelerated to massive levels since.

He introduced extremely racist policies with the War on Drugs and alleged ‘welfare queens’ with no basis in fact. Some Wall St hawk could be snorting coke inside an office and law enforcement would turn the other way, yet the same drug in its solid forms smoked in the inner cities, enjoy hard prison. Iran-Contra and the destabilization of Central America helped build the foundation for migrant crises today.

Reagan enjoyed the proliferation of the personal computing market and war at the time, and business’ increased efficiency and investments in the field. He essentially gave the boomers a blank check to do whatever they want, for their own personal gain, and well – fuck the generations after.

But well, I guess he was a more personable guy than Trump with a bit more charisma and empty platitudes. The Southern Strategy of Reagan’s campaign and his dealings with Iran behind the scenes which probably constituted treason over the hostages tell anyone more than they need to know.

You have conservatives like Trump who are out front about it, then you have conservatives who agree with the same policies essentially and just do it with an empty smile on their face.

    2. Got one of those “Trump Conquers COVID coins yet? Only $100 a throw. Beautiful and practical. Great with fuse boxes.
“The coin’s designer, a man named Anthony Giannini, says his latest creation is intended to portray what he sees as the president’s legendary nature.
Design is suggestive of superhero graphic art because POTUS 45 has created a never before seen presidential mythos,” Giannini writes. “I predict, ages hence, myths will abound of President Donald J. Trump, akin to the Epic of Gilgamesh.”

  4. Proving, yet again, that I’d you want a buffoon as president, look to a reality TV star.

This is right up there with Caligula making his horse a senator. Actually, come to my think of it, I think I’d prefer the horse to Trump…

      1. Thank heaven I didn’t have to choose between Inky and Trump. That would have been a tough call. Trump has the home-species advantage, but Inky is smarter and has a better mane.

  5. An obese old man covered in orange spraypaint and who’s kryptonite consists of small cups of water and stairs.

    Definitely sounds like Superman.

    1. You know he was hoping for some spontaneous Sieg Heiling. But a herd of jackasses in blue t-shirts is a long way from rows of SA in brown shirts.

  6. Just so he doesn’t ever do a Putin the centaur topless thing on a horse. The anti-Betsy Russell.

  7. The sight of a Superman T-shirt stretched over that bloated Jabba-gut would have generated “ridicule like you’ve never seen before”!

  8. I wouldn’t go that far, but it would have been a nice break from watching him publicly shit himself day after day.

    1. Oh, Lord… You gave them eyes, yet they cannot see.” Nor can Superman, through lead.

And Kryptonite will destroy him. 😮

  9. Now THAT would have been worth preempting the whole evening news for him like they did. But no balls no glory. Christ what an asshole.
