So what’s the over/under on when Trump fires the National Security Adviser

Trump’s national security adviser says it looks as though Biden won

Also up for wagering:

Trump will obviously want to replace the man with a totally unqualified loyalist buffoon. But the betting line is … which kind of unqualified buffoon?

So many possibilities …

  • right-wing nutbag commentator
  • unscrupulous lawyer
  • fertilizer baron who made big campaign contributions
  • dumb-ass Trump relative
  • white nationalist
  • embezzler who needs a pardon from Trump
  • senile former senior military officer
  • Rudy Giuliani

  1. Are we all agreed that there’s is nothing Trump can do that will make those dickless spineless gutless SOBs invoke the 25th Amendment?

    1. Let’s assume that he would come out in full Nazi regalia, except wearing a propeller beanie, giant clown shoes, and his underwear on the outside. Then he would start speaking in tongues about Martian invaders, thus fully completing a metamorphosis into a candidate from the Monty Python “extremely silly” party.

Given those assumptions, would anyone invoke the 25th? In my opinion, no. Furthermore, his cult followers would not turn away from him, and in fact would probably start digging the swastikas out of their drawers for public display.

Again, you must remember that he is not Ronald Reagan II. He is Jim Jones II, and his followers are equally willing to drink the Kool-Aid, except that their preferred method of suicide is to avoid masks and social distancing.

Except that the people of the Jonestown community only killed themselves. These people are taking the rest of us, and our once-sturdy country, with them. Their behavior seems insane to many of us, and we just can’t understand how people could believe Trump’s absurd lies. You know where this happened before, when so many decent, educated people couldn’t believe the direction their country was taking?

      (I call Godwin on myself.)

      1. I very much agree. These people have been lied to for 30 or 40 years – but they wanted to be lied to. They sought out the lies, and believed them, and defended the liars against all comers.

One commentator I read about the 2016 election said that Trump made perfect sense to vote for IF you believed Fox News or Rush Limbaugh or Alex Jones. Because Trump promised to deal with the thing those people talked about. Jeb Bush didn’t, and Hillary sure didn’t.

And the lies are ongoing. They are just moving to Parler and OAN and Newsmax. I don’t know where this is going, but some of these people crave violence, and may start it in the name of freedom and saving America.

I once read, somewhere, that if revolution ever came to America, it would come in the name of a return to the good old days. I wish I could remember where, because that guy was brilliant.

  2. He just fired the Director of CISA, the government’s CyberSecurity division. I’m sure this will be little more than a two month vacation, since he’s speaking on objective facts that Trump reality does not like.

Two more months until this bullshit is put to bed, and the authorities make their case.

  3. I guess the answer is 24 hours. Trump fires director of Homeland Security agency who had rejected President’s election conspiracy theories

  4. right-wing nutbag commentator
    unscrupulous lawyer
baron who made big campaign contributions
    white nationalist
embezzler who needs a pardon from Trump
    senile former senior military officer

All these could be 1 person as well knowing the type of people he has in his orbit

    1. It’s a very big field. It’s hard to remember the 2016 and 2017 entrants. Atlas is way out in front on Covid Stupidity, sure, but what about the Graft category? Has he got a grift going?

  5. My bet is Rudy. Rudy needs a pension and health insurance, I bet. He’s unemployable now, and he probably put all his retirement savings into Trump stock.

  6. Assuming he could find anyone stupid enough to take the job, especially now, it doesn’t really matter. In 64 days the whole circus is out in its ass, so name whatever clown you want to try and herd the cats.
