“What Trump Hopes To Accomplish Before Leaving The White House”

Some examples from the article:

  • An unfathomably high amount of document shredding.
  • Finally follow through on campaign pledge to stand in middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody.
  • Award Twitter user @920274749_000 the Presidential Medal of Valor for unwavering support over past four years.

Not mentioned: While the Preisdent has run up some impressive numbers of COVID victims he killed passively through neglect, there’s still many more he could kill actively by holding more crowded and maskless rallies.

  1. Any idea why he’s messing around with the Defense Department and the Pentagon? Or just more random destruction and spite?

    1. I don’t want to think about the worst case scenario. (Using the army to keep “peace” in America, a point on which Mark Esper disagreed with Trump.)

Now … did Esper stand in the way of Trump using the military to hold on to power, or did Trump just fire him for insufficient loyalty in general? I hope the latter. I fear the former.

After all, why is Trump bothering to install blind, unthinking loyalists when he’ll be out of office soon? Is it because he has no intention of being out of office?

Damn. I’m beginning to sound as paranoid as they are.

    2. I am not worried about a coup by Trump. Not because I trust Trump. But because I think the military does an excellent job of training it’s officers to understand the duty to follow lawful orders and not to obey unlawful orders. While Trump probably received the majority of military votes, I doubt there are many officers that would be willing to use force to extend his presidency past January 20th. But I can think of something that he may see as a way to cement his legacy. Trump may be considering military strikes against Iran in the hopes of destroying their nuclear program. Now, I have no idea how concentrated their nuclear program may be and thus how much damage we could do to it absent an extended military action. But it would probably be the one way Trump could make sure Biden was unable to revive the Iranian nuclear deal because the Iranians would probably never agree after the U.S. had attacked them.
