Sure, it sounds loony, and yet Cambodia has a much lower infection rate than the Dakotas.
And the rest of the USA, for that matter.
In fact, Cambodia has not had a single COVID fatality in a country of 17 million people. Those Cambodians obviously believe that Coronavirus is a real thing, a dangerous one, even though they have not personally lost a loved one to it. That puts them a step ahead of many Americans.
Surprised Trump hasn’t promoted this an alternative to masks.
or, the infection rate is low because nobody travels to Cambodia, so it is a lot easier to control.
And the death rate is low because 98% of the people in the US that have died have been over 70 with underlying conditions… and the average life expectancy of anybody in Cambodia is less than that even without underlying conditions.
Also most wouldn’t travel as much so that would limit transition.
