Kind of amazing that this is still a big deal in 2021. I remember after NYPD Blue premiered, we all thought network TV was going to have wall-to-wall nudity in a matter of years.
Fiscal conservative leaders had to eventually prove to social conservatives that their social agenda mattered. That they weren’t getting only lip service, but real progress on their issues. So that’s how modern censorship of over-the-air content, on the behalf of concerned parents, got ginned up. It started with Charlotte Ross, after showering, traipsing across our screen, without a towel. In NYPD Blue. There’s your patient zero.
Pretty surprising they even let her do the scene without pasties or something.
Judging from how hard it is to see, I’d go with “missed.”
