“Proponents also say rewilding the Arctic with lab-grown woolly mammoths could slow global warming by slowing the melting of the permafrost, where methane is currently trapped.”
And the proponents absolutely promise that nothing could possibly go wrong with this idea.
Pretty sure the whole “fight global warming” thing is just an excuse (to, admittedly, do something pretty cool). Their mechanism sounds like wishful dreaming. But if you can talk some well-intentioned feeb out of $15M, rock on! If it works, I’ll go to your parade.
I want to see a living dodo bird. Hurry up, scientists, I’m not getting any younger.
Yes! and Tasmanian Tiger !
I’ve always wondered how this oddly configured animal could be so successful in so many different climates. It is hard to imagine them lumbering around North America. Seems worth the risk
So have they just not seen Jurassic Park, or what?
Someone get Sam Neil to go slap some sense into them, please. Though I am looking forward to the cartoon explainer.
They seem so preoccupied as to whether or not they can, they aren’t stopping to think if they should.
