I just found this in my e-mail. I have not corrected any of the grammar or punctuation:

From: Mr. Bill Gates
Re: Foundation

Hope this information meet you well as I know you will be curious to know why/how I selected you to receive this sum of 5,000,000.00 USD, our information below is 100% legitimate, please see the link below:

Regards
Mr Bill Gates.

I should be receiving those five million smackers any day now. It must be 100% legitimate, and not just because it says so. From the structure and context of the letter, I can easily identify the Bill Gates I have seen so often on TV, the guy who has precisely the same command of English as Latka Gravas.

  1. You, too?

I’ve been shockingly finding out on a regular basis in emails that I’m related to Nigerian or European prince who keeps dying in tragic plane or car crash monthly and left me millions after their untimely demise.

    And I’m Asian!

    1. Of course I get those all the time. I’ve had the same e-mail address for 25 years, so it gathers a lot of crap. I also notice that I win another country’s lottery every week. My luck is unbelievable.

But this is the dumbest one I have seen.

Sadly, you know some people will click on the link, whatever it really leads to.

      1. I forgot about the UK and other countries lotto I never knew existed but somehow won. If only some of that luck rub off in real life.

      2. I’ve had the same email for years too.

It gets a lot of crap but its been pretty lame for awhile now.

My Nigerian Prince and my Russian Bride used to work hard to scam me. Now all I get is a couple of sentences in broken English.
