Pete Davidson, Marc Cohn, Big Wet, Method Man in “Walking in Staten”

This is very entertaining:

SNL has had many cast members with more talent, but Pete is the first one to attain major rock-star-level cred since Eddie Murphy. He gets to have sex with highly famous, highly beautiful women, and the audience goes crazy when they see him. He’s a phenom. Somehow Pete managed to get John Belushi’s popularity with Jim Belushi’s talent. (Which is fine, because he really seems like a good guy.)

  1. He’s done some evolving and is a lot more tolerable now than when he first started. He’s usually good in sketches where he has stuff to do. But he’s a rap freak, and for some unknown reason thinks it’s side-splittingly hilarious to do endless bits on almost every show where he does very poorly-written raps & acts stupid in a “cool way”. Ironically that’s probably one of the main things that gets him hot young famous chicks. Thing is, he never lasts with any of them; it seems they like his superficial persona, but when they get closer & seek some depth, they find none and move on quickly. On that basis, he should last with Kim K since I don’t think depth is in her value system.
