What more is there to say beyond noting that she was one of the most-loved performers in the world, whose sassy appeal cut across all generations.

2021 was a bad year for the MTM show. In addition to Sue Ann Nivens, this year also took Phyllis, Mr. Grant and Murray.

      While the character was the first to die, his portrayer may be the last. Richard Schaal is still alive, and it’s now basically between him and John Amos (Gordy the Weatherman) among the WJM-TV crew.

      Schaal is 86, Amos a mere child at 82.

    1. I think John Amos is still alive, but Gordy the Weatherman wasn’t in that many shows. You’re right about the principals.
