Of course… is right. It’s called realpolitik. It was Kissinger’s “There is only one China.” And it’s core to Putin’s & Xi’s spheres of influence philosophy. That there’s no such thing as rule-of-law, there’s only everyone takes whatever they can because they can. The U.N. being essentially toothless leaves the mighty to do their thing. So far, I don’t see that anyone’s come up with any viable answer short of an umbrella superpower ruthlessly enforcing their will over everyone else. Which we aren’t, there isn’t & I see no prospect of any time soon.
