Yeah, me too. I love Herb Alpert. OTOH, I didn’t take it up until I was 40. That’s my excuse. Also, it wasn’t the trumpet, but the flute. Other than that, though… just like you.

Supposedly they used shaving cream instead of whipped cream because actual whipped cream got runny under the studio lights. It’s a famous album cover, but not the only risque cover of a chart-topping album of the Sixties–check out Paul Mauriat’s Bloomiing Hits from 1968 (featuring the hit “Love is Blue”).
