R.I.P. Jeff Beck

  1. My favorite guitarist to listen to. He could play a single note and make it sound incredible.

  2. It’s hard to call Jeff Beck underrated, as he’s a consensus all-time great, but I kind of feel like he is underrated by the general populace. More often than not, I find that people either don’t know who he is, or have at best a vague notion. It’s a shame, because they’re really missing out on maybe the second best guitarist ever (no one will ever equal Jimi).

  3. He and Hendrix were the two great envelope pushers of the 60s in rock. Could play anything and play with anyone.
His Yardbirds stuff alone would have cemented his place among the greatest guitarists ever. But then he kept on going at the highest level for almost sixty years after that.
