To subscribers and contributors of the Fun House

My tentative timetable is to resume the Fun House on Saturday, when I no longer have to take my antibiotics.

The drugs are doing their job. I am symptom-free at the moment, but the cure is almost as bad as the disease. This is one harsh drug. The list of side-effects is “all of the above,” and the rules I have to follow are unreal. Some examples: no exposure to daylight (perfect drug for ailing vampires); no antacids of any kind; no dairy products; no caffeine.

Anyway … Saturday. Maybe.

  1. In the UK they sell non-dairy probiotic yogurt drinks containing “good bacteria” (whatever that is).
Someone I know was prescribed “full-strength” antibiotics and his doctor recommended he drink one of these every day.
Good to hear you are on the mend. Keep up the good work.

  2. Take it easy and just get well… the boobs, bums and bush will still be here when you are well.

I take the drugs that say, you can’t operate heavy machinery whilst using this medication. Good news I reckon cause I have no idea how to operate heavy machinery…

    1. Correct. No Mountain Dew, Cola, Chocolate, Tea …

To tell the truth, I have to drink so much water that it totally fills my quota for liquids. I could have a ginger ale, and that sounds good, but a thought like that is always replaced by “gotta take my water.”

I never drink coffee anyway, for other reasons.

      1. Welp, I guess you’re gonna get a cleansing. Although the antibiotics will probably kill all the beneficial bacteria in your digestive system too. I’d say eat yogurt but that’s a dairy product.

        Anyways, have fun!

        1. Then there are probiotic pills…wonder if they’re allowed?

          Beware of Candidiasis.

Fingers crossed for a full recovery!

      2. I’ve always wondered if taking antibiotics and probiotics at the same time is like putting matter and anti-matter together. Sounds like a recipe for disaster.
