No swanky bullshit outfits for her! She does offer some underboob in the gallery.
Daniel Day Lewis – still retired.
Rob Gronkowski – still retired.
Rick Moranis – still retired, eh
Lindsay Lohan – making a comeback.
It’s “a stunning photoshoot for Series Magazine.” (March, 2024)
How sexy was she? Sophie Loren sexy. She was chosen to play the part of Sophia Loren in The Life and Death of Peter Sellers, which came out the same year as this film.
.gif here.
Defoe captured this scene in 2160hd, and it improves what we had,
This version makes it clearer that it is Chiara, and that she really is completely naked. A tip o’ the Hatlo Hat to her for that.
As for this scene … hey, it’s Chiara topless in 4k. To quote the late, great Stan Lee, “Nuff said.”

Closed captioning for the cultural-knowledge-impaired:
You probably have to be at least 70 years old to remember that. It was last seen 61 years ago. I used to devour the Sunday Comics like a ravenous hyena, right after I checked the batting averages in the sports section.
Batting average reference explained:
The traditional Sunday list of batting averages created a baseball cliche in 1980 when the George Brett, a great hitter who nearly batted .400 that year, said. “The first thing I look at in the Sunday paper is who is below the Mendoza line.”
Mendoza reference explained:
Mario Mendoza was a utility infielder who often batted below .200. He more than made up for his inability to make contact with his complete lack of power. In the year before Brett said this, Mendoza somehow managed to get in almost every game, despite batting .198 with one home run. His lifetime WAR (wins above replacement level) was below zero, which basically means his teams would have been better off if he had been injured. The fact that he managed to get into 148 games in 1979 shows you how desperate the Mariners were in those days. When he played for the Pirates, he was basically a late-inning defensive replacement, and seldom got to bat. Mendoza is now 74 years old, and is still in the game. He’s a manager in the Mexican League. I assume he demonstrates to the young players what NOT to do in the batter’s box.
Stan Lee reference explained:
Stan was the creator or co-creator of the most iconic Marvel Comics characters. “‘Nuff said” was his catch phrase.
Rare nudity from a South African movie. (I assume that the nude scene was cut for screenings in that country, but shown internationally.)

The highlight of this short film is Severine and some dude wading naked through the titular toxic river, holding hands. Oh, those French! They really are the masters of romance. Vive l’amour!
It reminds me of that tender French love ballad from “Petit déjeuner chez Tiffany,” which I’ve translated back to English for your convenience:
Toxic River
Wider than a Shire
I’m setting you on fire
Some dayOh, cancer causer
You life pauser
Wherever you’re flowing
There is hell to pay
Note from the comment section: Randy Newman actually wrote a version of this for real!!
Here’s Severine:

When Defoe sent this in, I thought initially that he had it backwards. “Surely,” I thought, “it must be the singer Ana Lete in a film that would be called Louisiana Governor in English.”
(BUZZER) Wrong! Her name really is Louisiane Gouverneur, and while she’s not as powerful as Huey Long was, I assume she looks better naked.
