The highlight of this short film is Severine and some dude wading naked through the titular toxic river, holding hands. Oh, those French! They really are the masters of romance. Vive l’amour!

It reminds me of that tender French love ballad from “Petit déjeuner chez Tiffany,” which I’ve translated back to English for your convenience:

Toxic River
Wider than a Shire
I’m setting you on fire
Some day

Oh, cancer causer
You life pauser
Wherever you’re flowing
There is hell to pay

Note from the comment section: Randy Newman actually wrote a version of this for real!!

Here’s Severine:

The entire 7-minute film is online here.

Defoe’s clip of the nude parts is here.

When Defoe sent this in, I thought initially that he had it backwards. “Surely,” I thought, “it must be the singer Ana Lete in a film that would be called Louisiana Governor in English.”

(BUZZER) Wrong! Her name really is Louisiane Gouverneur, and while she’s not as powerful as Huey Long was, I assume she looks better naked.

Defoe’s clip from this film can be found here.

“An aspiring porn star spends the summer of 1980 sleeping with men who pass through her family’s dilapidated desert motel until one fateful summer night, when she’s forced to contend with her father’s darkest secret.”

The full film is on YouTube. She is topless in the opening scene. We first see her with a face full of semen, and the first line in the film is “Wow, no girl has ever let me come on her face before.”

Some 1080 captures can be found here.
