According to economist Sylvia Nassar who wrote the book “Grand Pursuit: The Story of Economic Genius” (she also wrote the book “A Beautiful Mind”) Marx was mostly brilliant for his promotional ability, especially promoting himself. According to her research, Engels wrote most of The Communist Manifesto, and Das Kapital, while written by Marx, was based largely on Engels’ notes and outline. Marx was a self promoting hypocrite who lived in luxury from either various inheritances or from direct financial gifts from Engels.
