My then girlfriend picked out Heather Matarazzo’s film “Welcome to the Dollhouse” at a video store sometime in the late 90’s. I don’t remember anything about that film other than thinking it was awful. But what I will never forget is after the movie was over my girlfriend turned to me and said with such feeling “I am SOOOO sorry for making you watch that.” I can think of a few other things she said or did that would be more worthy of an apology than picking a bad movie. But that is probably why she is an ex-girlfriend.
