Trump Cancels trip to Denmark because they don’t want to sell Greenland

Because the country’s prime minister, Mette Frederiksen, “would have no interest in discussing the purchase of Greenland,” they would meet “another time.”

Let me see if I understand this correctly. Since he postponed the whole meeting, it seems that he had no other reason to visit Denmark at this time, but before scheduling the trip in the first place, he never bothered to find out if Denmark had any interest in discussing Greenland.

Makes sense.

    1. I think his alleged economic strength is starting to wane. He managed to pump a bunch of debt and bullshit into it all with his tax cuts for the rich. It’s been like dropping a billion dollars into a rich neighborhood and telling the working class how good it is a few thousand managed to be blown their way. Now he’s begging the fed to constantly cut rates.

Like he’s been quoted before saying, he doesn’t give a shit about what happens after he leaves office. He wants to run up debt and run dry all the failsafe options like interest rate cuts WHILE he’s in office, even if it fucks over everyone twice as hard in the next recession.

He essentially wants to do as much damage as possible to make it to his next election, and get his cult to re-elect him, then he can just cruise the decline. Or fuck over the democratic candidate if the recession comes in 2021 for all the shit he’s done for four years to drive us straight into it, then his dumbass supporters will blame a few months of Presidency for it, instead of the four years driving towards the cliff without brakes.

  1. There is usually a method to Trump’s madness, however I have no idea on this one. My guess is that it’s a distraction to keep the MSM occupied while Trump/Barr quietly move forward with declassifying documents.

Now that the leaks coming out of the White House have dried up, the media is having a tough time figuring out how to frame their stories and come up with a narrative that makes any sense. Every time they start to get on the same page, Trump throws them a monkey wrench like Greenland.

    1. Or just a distraction from the inevitable bad news about the economy:

“The economy had about 501,000 fewer jobs as of March 2019 than the Bureau of Labor Statistics initially calculated in its survey of business establishments. That’s the largest revision since the waning stages of the Great Recession in 2009.

The newly revised figures indicate the economy didn’t get a huge boost last year from President Trump’s tax cuts and higher federal spending. They also signal the economy is a bit weaker than previously believed and could give the Federal Reserve even greater reason to cut interest rates in September.”

Shocker that when you give corporations who are already hoarding the most money in history that they hoard it, or use it for stock buybacks, so the CEOs can sell some of their interest in the company and make tens of millions more.

I guess chalk that up to another one of Trump’s “methods.”

  2. Next step: ‘why can’t we annex Greenland?’

I’m sure it’s been in dumbasses mind, but maybe even he is too chicken shit to say it.

  3. Trump at his worst. What’s the point of doing this, other than to be obnoxious? Not even his most rabid supporters care about this issue.
