White House will release the whistleblower complaint and has released a transcript of the Trump call

In theory, both will be complete and unredacted.

UPDATE: Apparently the whistleblower complaint will be redacted.

UPDATE: The DoJ has released its memo concerning the whistleblower complaint.

UPDATE: Here is the transcript of the phone conversation.

The Justice Department Office of Legal Counsel opinion, which was released today, says the whistleblower’s complaint centers on the July phone call between the President and the Ukrainian president, the rough transcript of which was released by the White House earlier today.

The opinion further notes that the intelligence community inspector general said the whistleblower, who is still unknown to the Justice Department, as having “some indicia of an arguable political bias.”

Even so, the inspector general determined that the whistleblower’s complaint was credible, that Trump’s actions could be a violation of the campaign finance law.

Notably, yesterday the General Counsel for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence wrote in a letter to the whistleblower’s attorney, that the whistleblower acted in “good faith.”

I am reserving all judgment on this for now.

  • We don’t know who the whistleblower is or what (if any) axes he has to grind.
  • We don’t know how much the whistleblower actually knows. Some have suggested he or she had to rely on second- or third-hand knowledge of the events or phone calls in question.

We shall see.

  1. How is that different than when he asked Russia on national television to hack Clinton’s email?

And why oh why hasn’t been impeached yet?

  2. So please do explain how this is going to cost the Bidens their freedom. The rest of us aren’t privy to all the glories of Fox/Jones/Breitbart Think or Birther Think or MeinTrumpism or whatever you call that lunacy.
Not to mention how with $400 million hanging over the proceedings this wasn’t a quid pro quo.
And why our own AG was going to be helping the Ukrainians concoct something.
And oh yeah in general why Trump would want to undercut a friendly country fighting off an attack by a decidedly unfriendly country (I suspect your object of worship looks at maps as often as he reads). Off course then we are talking a very unfriendly country ruled by one of his heroes.

  3. “transcript”? “vindicated”? ” “brilliant”? “in control”? “wins”?
You should invest in a dictionary.
Also, what Jer said – what are you on and do you have, like, a little extra?

  4. I just finished reading the transcript for the 2nd time, and Trump is 100% vindicated. No question.

Dems walked into another Trump Trap, only this time it’s going to cost the Bidens everything including their freedom. And the dem party is finished in ’20 after this disaster. I have never seen something blow up like this. Another brilliant move by Potus, even though I’m already a supporter, I had no idea he was this much in control. He wins at every turn.

  5. This was a way to push focus onto Biden and the former administration’s corrupt intl dealings especially the Ukrainian and the Chinese government.

Political play that the media and puppets in DC soaked up and will look like fools over. Sooner or later they will quit taking the bait and get over their blind hate for all that Trump is and is doing for the country.

    1. It’s not blind. Hate is an informed, well-reasoned response to all that Trump is and is doing to the country.

    1. The Joker in that vid kind of looks like Trump, although the Joker has a more natural skin tone.

      And better hair.

      And is not as evil.

  6. If you trust Trump, you are a complete fool. That’s been amply established. This person obstructed justice at every turn per the Mueller Report and evaded a deposition by Mueller.
