Apparently Ron DeSantis doesn’t know what ICU stands for

Fuck those malingerers with the sniffles who just hang out for the Jello.

Also, he wants the burns unit to report only the patients with burns.

  1. I think the crackup comes in 24. The “religious” right will say it’s Pence’s turn; the OB will push a spawn or a son-in-law. The Tea Party are the OB’s biggest buttlickers, but a lot of them identify RR. Which way they go will decide things. Either way, I’m betting the new party passes the Republicans by 32. Hey Michael, what are you still sticking around for?

  2. At this point, is Republican elected officials’ stunning idiocy even a surprise? The Christian Taliban has taken over the Party lock stock and barrel, and they’re not very bright.

I really don’t understand how actual intelligent conservatives can stomach calling themselves Republicans anymore. If there was ever a time for a serious third party, this is it.

    1. I am hoping the time for a third party will be after the shattering defeat of the Republicans nationwide in November, but we need for that to happen first.

I wonder how much Trump is donating to his own campaign, BTW?

      1. Trump is currently at 41.7% approval. I doubt the GOP will suffer a shattering defeat if a defeat at all.

  3. You have to believe that DeSantis isn’t that stupid. I.e. if Andrew Gillum had won the Florida gubernatorial election and said this, DeSantis would be screaming bloody murder.

But he knows that the Republican base *is* that stupid now and laps this up willingly.

  4. It is very good of DeSantis to provide his opponents with such clear demonstrations of ignorance, incompetence, and/or stupidity. Not to mention lack of concern for the public health, just public appearances. Things like this are very useful in persuading the undecided, if there are any of those left.

    1. yes but schmuck isn’t up for reelection and we get these people because they are so far up Trumps ass but can’t get all the way in cause Graham and McConnell are stuck in there

  5. Trump should dump Pence and add DeSantis to the ticket. They are two peas from the same pod.

        1. Unless you mean he should play the Martin Balsam character – get slashed in the face and shoved down some stairs. I’d buy that ticket.

  6. How do these assholes even exist and have any determinant amount of wealth and power?

There should be a moron court in this country. If you say something so stupid, illogical, or false you should be banned from employment doing anything other than minimum wage work for the rest of your life in the US and all your assets taken. Maybe then some of these Republican shitstains will think and research, before they talk or make decisions from now on.

    1. I guess they tell people what they want to hear, like “I’m going to balance the budget and spend more on national defense without raising taxes by eliminating waste and fraud.” (That was a Reagan classic.) They also get the votes of people who hate other people, like racists and anti-abortion people and homophobes and whatnot.

And making money is not too tough if you’re born with money and are not reckless and self-aggrandizing (Trump is both).

    1. Yale/Harvard grad…hmmm, lack of morals and ethics must be an admissions requirement.

      1. To be honest, Ivy League admission ain’t what it used to be — and perhaps never was. The question is, how much money did DeSantis’ father have, and how much of it ended up in their coffers as “donations?” It’s basically the USC pay-for-admission scandal, only legal.

As for graduating, it’s an open secret that the Ivies have ridiculous grade inflation, so that’s not what it used to be, either (same caveat and applies).

      2. I’d bet not so much an admission standard as they do 16-20 credit-hours on lack of morals and ethics.
