“Getting reelected was the only thing that mattered, even if it meant endangering or weakening the nation”

““Trump’s Ukraine-like transgressions existed across the full range of his foreign policy — and Bolton documents exactly what those were, and attempts by him and others in the Administration to raise alarms about them.”

Nothing to see here. I’m sure that the President will issue a carefully reasoned and prudent point-by-point response, eschewing ad hominem argumentation to focus calmly on nothing but the facts.

  1. Trump seems to neglect the single best way of being reelected: be a good President.

  2. As of April 3 WAPO had the Orange Buffoon at 18,000 false or misleading claims through 1170 days in office. That is not business as usual.

  3. To be fair, this is the priority of both Democrats and Republicans regardless of who the president is. They would rather destabilize or weaken the nation rather than allow the other party to gain power. Trump’s the only one exposed because he can’t keep his mouth shut.

    This is business as usual.

      1. Tanner, I basically agree with you, and I am sorry to quibble. But I feel that Republicans have a LOT more refuges after that. Straight up lying, for instance. And conspiracy theories involving George Soros. And “the economies great for me, so who cares?!”

        1. When I speak with Republicans, false equivalence is typically their argument of last resort.

          1. Oh, really? I was just being silly, and not speaking from actual experience. I learned something today!
