This scene is gravy but Doc Hollywood is still one of my favorite feel good movies; great cast, clever lines and the universal theme of small town life.
She wrote me a message on FB several years ago. I thought it was a fake profile, and I responded something like “I rather doubt you’re the woman who showed her tits in Doc Hollywood.” She replied, “I AM that actress and I can see I made a mistake contacting you.” I scrutinized her page again, and it was her. We made up briefly but I never got her on the phone. So if you see her on FB, don’t reference “her tits.” Other than that she’s totally down to earth and cool, it seemed to me. (Not like some other celebs I encountered who are elitist assholes: Lucie Arnaz, Laraine Newman.)
Ahh, the days when PG-13 movies could have (at least semi-) frontal nudity, not the strategic nudes and butt shots/ rear nudity we get nowadays. That’s if we’re lucky.
