“MIAMI DOLPHINS GET ‘FULL CAPACITY’ APPROVAL FROM GOV. … For 65,000 Seat Stadium”

“You read that correctly. We’re talking 65,000 seats. In the middle of a pandemic.

    1. We need a stronger term than batshit crazy. Seriously, is it the roids, is it stranger than normal Trumpism, or is he doing a Fuhrerbunker crackup? Myself, I’ m listening for screams of “Wo ist Steiner?”.

  1. Biden voter and ex-GOPer though I am, I still think I’m more of a Midwestern Conservative than MC (on a left to right 1 to 100 scale, I’m probably 55). MC’s sort generally call my sort RINOS and cuckservatives, a very nasty term which says more about most of them (MC is too civil for that) than it does about us. As long as Indy tells me I have a small and scared brain and the Reeno tells me I’m not a conservative, he is (but isn’t he a Libertarian, I get so confused), I figure I’m in my proper slot. And as for Trump, I was a Never- probably 30 years ago.
In other developments today the WTF team’s coach has benched Little Danny Snyder’s pet QB. This could get interesting.

    1. I can deal with a run-of-the-mill conservative, but as there’s a pretty good reason why it became the party of Trump. Mainly because the policies are so vapid and blatantly incorrect with ‘trickle down econ’ – the base moved to some evangelical neo-Nazi craziness because that’s the only thing that got people fired up. It sure wasn’t the party platform.

I respect a Libertarian a little more at least, because at least it’s consistent across the board. Republicans somehow have brainwashed their platform base into believing giving all the money to rich corporations while also deregulating so they can do whatever the hell they want, is GOOD for small businesses.

Hey don’t worry, we gave you $50 back on your tax returns! Don’t mind the billions we just gave Amazon and the regulations we dropped so that they can now easily come into your town with some satellite location service to undercut and run you out of your home. Rugged individualism, as rugged as it gets, thats all that matters!

Obviously all we need is MORE deregulation so MORE monopolies can take over every industry. That’ll solve it! Small businesses, yay, the heartbeat of America!

      1. Actually the Limbaughed/Foxed “base” wiped out or cowed the Party leadership and Trad Republicans once they had Trump as their unifying figure not the other way around. But what would I know? I was only there (I used to go Republican things) literally getting screamed at by Tea Party or RelRight goofs. Your firsthand knowledge of Republican matters is obviously superior, right? Btw, the way I have never been big on DeReg. or the Endless Tax Cut Bowl. Until recently, the Party had never been doctrinally homogenous. The Base read out people like me in much the same your sort would love to read the “Corporate Democrats” out of the other party.

        1. Why did what you describe happen, Bill? Was it a deliberate plan by those who own the right wing media (Limbaugh/Fox) or was it something that spun out of control because the crazy talk = ratings = profit?

I agree that Trump in, particular, was nobody the traditional Republicans wanted. But their guys (Mitt Romney/Jeb Bush/????) were singularly uninspiring. Dubya had enough charisma to be appealing, but none of the 2016 crop did.

          1. Could be some of both. There were essentially two camps of rich Republicans. The trad Wall St./Corporate types and the newers: the Kochs/DeVoses/Adelson/the very rich married couple whose name I never can remember/Ellison, etc. The first sort never cared much For Trump – they knew the man after all (one of the big bankers once described Trump as a “clown living on credit”). Not to mention he had left a lot of them holding the bag at different times. But their affection can be purchased with the Endless Tax Cut Bowl. The second group fell in with the Foxers quite naturally; most of them probably believe that shit. The father of the Koch Bros had actually been a John Birch Society muckety in the 60s. Rupert Murdoch himself has two value sets, money and ratings, and ownership of prestige media – the Times and WSJ take care of that nicely. He wasn’t about to go fair and balanced and drive away all those drivelhead viewers. But I’m still trying to figure out how things went to hell so quickly between 12 and 16. Fool that I can be I thought that Trump’s involvement with the Birthers was going to be a hindrance not a help.
Still think Low Energy Jeb is much underrated and would have swept the floor with the other unlikeable ’16 candidate. I almost didn’t vote for Romney in 12 -that all Dems are on the dole shit pissed me off. First time I everconsidered voting for Frank Zappa. Voted for Kasich last time out.

          2. Thanks, Bill. That was mostly stuff I did not know.

Personally, I gave up on the Republicans after the travesty of the Ken Starr investigation and the impeachment of Bill Clinton. I could no longer see any point to them. I was fiscally conservative, but after Reagan, the Republicans were not. They dumped on Bush the Elder for tying to be.

          3. as a European democratic socialist it’s interesting to see how reactionary even anti-Trumpers are. In most EU countries, the Dems would qualify as center right…

  2. So to sum up, you’re not afraid of catching something which could kill you or unhinge you as it seems to have done to your Dear Leader (check out the interview w/Bartiromo).
But you are afraid of being “great”ed by Antifas or some other fantasy figures.

    1. Bill D, someone pointed out back in 2016 that Trump was absolutely the candidate to vote for if you believed the nonsensical fictions spouted by the talking heads of the right, like Rush Limbaugh, Alex Jones, Lou Dobbs, and whoever, because Trump proposed to deal seriously with that stuff.

So, yes, of course Mid Con, as a Trump supporter, lives in a world of right wing fantasy. But now, thanks to the pandemic, those fantasies have become dangerous, even deadly, to those that believe in them. So what are we going to say to Mid Con that will have any impact on him, if a threat to his life does not?

So do what I do – encourage him! The sooner we get this over with, the better.

  3. I am not defending anyone but I would put the totally disingenuous tag on KH and the “performance” she put on last night before I accuse anyone of the opposite party of the same.

I was planning to go to a game in Miami next month but this could change things a bit, not afraid of contraction but more so the whackos that will be there to great all entering the stadium.

    1. DON’T BE AFRAID OF THE CONTRACTION, MID CON!!! EMBRACE THE CONTRACTION HEART, BODY, AND SOUL!!! It’s what Trump wants you to do, so you have to anyway. Might as well be enthusiastic about it.

      1. Been there done that 2 days of being tired and low fever not even enough to keep me in bed sorry….

We’ve been down this road multiple times. I’m just tired of being lied to… insert Trump Russian collision narrative here.

If you want to contact me and have a rational conversation about the hoax you buy into please reach out anytime…

        1. A) About your Covid claim, Mid Con – how do you propose to prove it so that I might actually believe it? Personal anecdotal evidence carries no weight on the Internet unless you trust the person, and since you are a Trump supporter….need I say more?

          B) How would we have a rational conversation, Mid Con? That would require a common ground of agreed on facts, and as a Trumper, you believe Trump Brand Alternative Facts (aka whatever Trump is saying today). That’s not going to fly.

BTW, what are you going to do if Trump, in his current drug-fueled mania, not only admits his collusion with Russia, but brags about it?

Also, just curious: What depths do you plan to sink to in condoning Trump’s attempt to steal the election if and when he loses?

Otherwise, piss off and try to peddle your stuff to someone who might believe it. As long as Brobonk’s alive, there’s someone dumber than you are.

        2. It’s pretty simple, its called things exist outside of singular anecdotal experiences in life. Shocker that you can’t know every single experience on earth and facts exist outside of your worldview
You know, the shit most 4 and 5 year olds evolve beyond?

Emotional disinformation is the platform of the Republicans. Probably why people like you go into psychotic rage over the equivalent of pocket change hearing someone looting for a TV or whatever it was you freak out on. Meanwhile you’ll gladly bend over and take it for the billionaire to get corporate welfare tax breaks to make themselves a few hundred million more to undercut or use the legal system to run small businesses out.

Maybe one day you’ll get your head out of your ass and get with it. Then you may be shocked to learn the world doesn’t revolve around you to conspire for you to wear a mask, and that you’re putting money directly into the pockets of a couple hundred people who own exactly half of the entire planet’s wealth.

    2. Bring your own grater, they can’t grate you if you grate ’em first. (See, there are two contractions right there, nothing to be afraid of. (Though that last sentence ends in a preposition, we may all be doomed.))

      1. Love your logic MSM Mom.

It must be terrible being a victim all the time…

        1. Well, you’ve been Trump’s victim for four years, Mid Con, so you ought to know. You got Covid out of it, although, like Trump, you claim you loved it. Probably he’ll ask you for more money. (If you don’t have any left, don’t expect to hear from him again. He’s funny that way.)

          1. I think Mid Con meant it’s terrible for Trump to be a victim all the time, Nature Mom. The guy never stops whining about it, after all. For instance, his Attorney General won’t put his political opponents in jail! It’s terrible, just terrible, what the man has to endure.

      2. Don’t fear the dangler!
“This is the type of errant pedantry up with which I will not put”. Some Brit
Much more concerned about people who scoff at taking precautions about the virus but can turn around and swallow horseshit like “Obamagate”.
“MC” was damned lucky to get such a light dose. It knocked my soccer-, basketball-, softball-playing, skiing, swimming, skating, hiking girlfriend off her feet for several days. And made her look like hell too, which is a “better bring your lunch” job.

    1. With all due respect, let me point out Brian Kemp.

DeSantis isn’t so much unintelligent as totally disingenuous. (The man graduated from Harvard Law.)

Kemp, on the other hand – well, when you look into his eyes you can see there’s nobody home.
