Wait! Afghanistan has amusement parks?

Wait again! The Taliban allow amusement? So it’s OK to ride on a carousel – as long they they turn the music off!

I’ll say this, the Taliban sure make the bumper cars more exciting. If I were you, I would not collide with their car too enthusiastically.

It was a simple time, with a simple formula. Only two ingredients were necessary.

1. Eliot Gould making a silly face
2. One of his female co-stars flashing some flesh.

If the photog got creative, he might add a third element of some kind, like a dog, another male co-star or another female co-star, but the only essential ingredients were the Big Two. You might be thinking, “Big deal. How many 1970 films could that possibly work for?”

I grant you that you’ve asked a good question, but what you don’t realize is that according to an important international treaty, as ratified by the U.S. Congress in the famous Gould Rush Act of 1970, no film could be produced that year unless Elliott Gould was in it. Unfortunately, in order to negotiate this treaty, the concessions America had to make to her allies included a reciprocity agreement that no film could be made in 1974 unless it starred Gerard Depardieu, a condition that began the steady deterioration of civilization that continues to this day.

So where was I? Lo those many months ago, I was messing around with grindhouse movies from the US and beautiful, bountiful women from the Philippines. Why not start there?

The Immoral Three (1975) was one of the later offerings from Doris Wishman, legendary director of grindhouse movies from as far back as 1960, when she did nudist camp films. This one has much better production values and a coherent plot AND it is shot in color, but it has all the marks of a Wishman movie, especially the nekkid gals. Three of ’em, to be exact, who play sisters out to avenge the death of their mom.

Anywho, the gals kill a bunch of guys one way or another but not before seducing them, which leads to a lot of screen time with impressive exposure, especially by Cindy Boudreau. This is one of only two movies Cindy made but boy howdy it is one of the most impressive performances of conspicuous unclothing ever filmed. She must have spent a good (a very good) ten minutes of screen time showing off an extremely impressive bod. I counted six scenes, a couple of which go on for several minutes.

The result is a lot of collages. I am happiest with the 12th one and the last one (#17), because these were stitched together from slow pans across Cindy’s frame (one of Doris Wishman’s trademarks).

Don’t know what happened to Cindy after she played a small part in only one more movie. She had all the natural gifts to be a legend, but I suppose she went in another direction. Let’s all be grateful she and Doris got together for one, memorable performance

You will notice the use of mirrors in all three of their scenes, as Ms. Wishman was wont to do. She loved mirrors and used them in just about all her movies, for reasons known only to herself.
