Schneider was nominated for a Cesar as the Best Supporting Actress. This was to my knowledge, the only nude scene she ever performed after Last Tango in Paris. She felt humiliated by her treatment during the Last Tango shoot, and by the way people treated her afterward. This let to a long cycle of disputes with directors, drug addiction, mental illness and even attempted suicide.
Her life was better after the 1970s, but was all too brief. She died while still in her 50s.
