Donald Trump lived in fear of being hit by lethal fruit

“And getting aggressive includes the use of physical force?”

“To stop somebody from throwing pineapples, tomatoes, bananas, stuff like that, yeah. It’s dangerous stuff.”

“It’s very dangerous stuff. You can get killed with those things.”

  1. During the whole 5 year plus nightmare of Trump’s rise to the Presidency until whatever the heck he’s doing now, did we ever learn ANYTHING that made him seem like a better person? Anything that made him seem better than we might have expected, anyway? I loathe him, so I cannot give a fair answer. Anybody else?

    1. Weren’t they trying to cut Obamacare or whatever, and Trump said the cuts were too much, saying that they were “mean”? I seem to recall something like that. So maybe he’s not great, but there are people worse than him?

Just realized that’s not a comforting notion, that there are people worse than Trump.

    2. I guess the little “covfefe” flap showed that while he is an ignorant condescending buffoon who has been a boil on this country’s ass since the mid-80s, he is at least an ignorant condescending occasionally entertaining buffoon who has been a boil on this country’s ass since the mid-80s.

  2. Theodore Roosevelt 1912:
“Ladies and gentlemen, I don’t know whether you fully understand that I have just been shot, but it takes more than that to kill a Bull Moose.”
    Donald Trump 2020:
“No, I wanted to have people be ready because we were put on alert that they were going to do fruit. And some fruit is a lot worse than—tomatoes are bad, by the way. But it’s very dangerous.”

  3. Captain Bone Spurs: A Profile in Courage, coming to a bookstore near you.

    Or maybe not.
