  1. The most surprising issue here is that he most likely would have won if he had not bought up the coke and wrinkly sex orgies…

All the other vile, hate filled rhetoric was ok, please go on young man, just don’t mention the drugs and dry sex parties, that was too far.

    1. That stuff got people in Washington pissed at him but what might have killed him in his own district was his obvious lack of interest in constituent service and disdain of local matters. Senators can get away with that; representatives not so much. And that Eastern Tenn/Western NC area ,which held to the Union during the Civil War, has had a tendency to elect blue dog Dems or moderately conservative Reps like Howard Baker. Child Cawthorn just embarrassed the hell out of a lot of those people.

  2. Well, there’s one of the Terrible Trio gone. Let’s hope the Boebert and the Woo Woo Woman from Georgia aren’t far behind.

    1. I nominate Matt Gaetz for membership in the Terrible Trio. Any second for this third?

      1. Empty G’s from Jawjaw, we may be stuck with her. They don’t like to change horses even if the one they’re on has mange, horsey syphilis, and two broken legs.

  3. That was certainly addition by subtraction. Unfortunately, I doubt he will just slink away and become an insurance salesman. He is going to end up on some right-wing news channel. I’m hoping Fox News has too much integrity to hire him, but then I’m also hoping I win Powerball. If it is just an issue of integrity, I probably have a better chance to win Powerball. I wish that I had the power to kick all the Trump loving Republicans out of office. But I would settle for just getting rid of the ones claiming Trump won in 2020. They are dangerous. Not just because of the vile lies they spread. I worry one or more will be in a position to affect a future electoral count or certification.

  4. If by “miss” you mean “not miss,” I agree wholeheartedly.

I’m actually amazed to find out that there actually *is* something too crazy for even the GOP, circa 2022. Maybe there is a bottom?

In 2020, Madison Cawthorn became the youngest Republican elected to Congress in American history. In 2022, he became the youngest Republican to lose re-election to Congress in American history.
