Jury awards nearly $1 billion to Sandy Hook families in Alex Jones case

And those are just the compensatory damages. There are still punitive damages to discuss! As Spicoli would say, “Righteous bucks!”

but …

How much will the victims actually receive? A jury declaration is not an instant winner like a lottery ticket. In order to hide and shelter his money, Jones will try every legal trick and probably every illegal flim-flam known to man. Even if the families eventually get a big chunk of money, it will be in the future, after Jones responds with years of delaying actions.

Here’s betting that Jones’s lawyers end up getting more than the victims.

  1. I don’t follow this crap because I don’t give a fuck about any of this political bullshit, but how is this any different from Kennedy assassination theories or any other of the million conspiracies out there? He may be scum, but if we don’t have any reasonable, logical justice system, everyone is fucked. That’s more important to me than any of the worthless political parties that currently control this country.

    1. Because:

      (a) those nutbag conspiracies for the most part only deny the cause of the event and not the actual occurrence

      (b) they aren’t weaponized against the actual victims and their innocent family members (i.e., identifying them as “crisis actors”).

      (c) in this case, there was a clear major culprit who was responsible for most of the lies and inciting harassment of the families, in addition to personally profiting off of it

  2. Real 10-foot cell prison is the only thing that will shut this guy up. He’s going to keep playing the free speech card and all the GOP Twitter dogs like Marge Green are lining up to back him.

  3. Ain’t the US Judicial system just peachy…screw the poor and reward the rich and or powerful.

  4. He is a piece of shit. As a CT resident who had kids of the same age he can fuck right off. At this point it is more about the judgement than the $. Shows that misinformation isn’t a good financial decision. He can (and will) rot in hell.

    1. To make his case for hell even stronger, he shows absolutely no signs of genuine remorse for the hell he put those people through after they had already suffered the loss of a child.

Frankly, even Satan is going to find that guy distasteful.

  5. I saw a post on Twitter that he has already managed to raise $150,000US from his followers (claiming that the money would go to him, not to the Sandy Hook families since he has declared bankruptcy).

What a piece of shit of a human being. And I don’t think the bankruptcy judge will look to kindly on someone using bankruptcy to evade paying what he owes.
