  2. The only two words that matter to me are “without consent.” I won’t be hunting down these pictures. It may be a pointless, token gesture. Then again, maybe it isn’t. Just because you can, etc.

      2. As soon as potential victims start realizing that “the camera is always loaded”. In other words, don’t generate content unless you can live with it being visible everywhere. Not soon for either would be my guess. Of course, when you’re in college, you generally haven’t quite wrapped your head around a lot of useful self-defensive notions yet.

        1. What you say is true, but that doesn’t make the college kids any more culpable in the dissemination of pictures they didn’t want disseminated. It’s far too easy to cross the thin, blurry line between “they should have known better” and “it’s partly their fault.” How much of the blame would you apportion them? 10% 20%? 50%? Higher?

          1. Maybe 20, but it got the damage done. The camera is always… Besides they probably were already aware of such concepts as revenge porn before they were out of HS.

          2. I think that is a complicated issue. A smart phone is connected to the internet. When you take pictures on an internet-connected device, you should not be completely surprised that they are there.

            If for example, the students had taken the exact same pictures with a stand-alone camera, they almost certainly would still be private.

    1. GW can’t post the links because he acquired them from a private celeb site where he gets much of his breaking news/catch o’ the day crap files. IOW he gets free files from elsewhere and posts them at his pay site. Quite the dog and pony show, eh. America, what a country!

      He’s also worried about legal complications re: leaks. Which is why he never posts direct links to fap files. This is why he says phun is reporting rather than post the direct links. CYA

      1. Sometimes accurate, but not in this case. I originally found the pics at a very notorious and transgressive website, as well as at one of the most visited sites on the entire internet

        It never makes sense to post this type of link to those two sites because:

        1. In the first case, the content disappears after a certain time.
        2. In the other case, the administrators catch material like this and delete it, although users continue to post such material in defiance of their ToS.

        I guess I can post the second link now, since Reddit has scrubbed the specific posts, as they eventually do with all leaked content once they become aware of it. At one point that sub-Reddit not only included the pics, but had definitive IDs for each of the students.

        In this case, there are still available links to public web sites and file lockers that contain the material, but I’m not going to post them for the reasons I stated originally. Frankly, in this one very specific case, I don’t even want the pics in cache on my hard drive!

        1. Totally accurate and yes, you don’t discriminate where you acquire files on the interwebs for free and then post here for fools to pay.

          As mentioned previously I don’t really “blame” you for “stealing” celeb files as that’s inevitable, but who are these idiots paying $$$ for crap they can easily acquire for free elsewhere? Seriously!

          Indeed, everything comes from somewhere as I acquired “the leak” from my go-to discord.

          btw, you are a true believer in free speech and that is admirable, especially nowadays. Yielding back the balance of my time.

          This whole Wisconsin volleyball thing has been trying to tell me something and it just clicked in: Jennifer Maastricht. Gorgeous UW player who did a Bunny Site pictorial years ago. And was a gen-u-wine All American, unlike the usual PB “Ashley Harklewhatever, tennis immortal” stuff. Found pix almost instantly. And as fine as I remembered.

        1. That’s the thing ie you can easily say “files” have been scrubbed especially if they were never at said site to begin with, eh. As GW mentioned surely they are all over the net by now so use the google.

        2. I don’t think Phun ever posted them, but I could be wrong. They were in the sub-Reddit I mentioned, but Reddit always deletes posts like that as soon as they are aware of them.

          1. Phun and TFB are usually a day late and dollar short, but not always. Again, everything comes from somewhere and without the date can’t be sure who got what from where. The DailyMail link was posted at said discord 3:49 PM EST and the Gofile link was made 3:54 PM and posted at said discord 3:58 PM. So as “we” see good news 😉 travels fast on the net, unimpeachable sources notwithstanding. 😛

          2. btw, my go-to discord has (66) members iow kinda exclusive, but more than enough for files to sprout wings here, there and everywhere. 🙂

  5. Aren’t they exacerbating the issue? I wonder how many more people will look for (and see) these pics after UW sent out this tweet. This tweet effectively says “We’re aware of private pics of the UW volleyball team, just in case you weren’t.”

    1. I wrestled with whether to post the links and decided to take no further action to spread the pics. They are college students, not public figures, and some of them may not even be 18. I reckon you can find the pics if you search diligently.

    I caught Roxy’s 50th Ann. show here last month. They were great even if Ferry doesn’t dare go near a high note anymore.

    1. btw, blah, blah, blah re: violations as they wanted the pics/vids to leak just like most celebrities. Lather, rinse repeat …
