  2. The next step is to implement ragdoll physics; the way your head blows up depends on how you died in the game.

  3. What about real-life rewards? It might be worth risking your life against a few goblins and maybe an orc, if you wound up with a hundred gold pieces and maybe a healing potion.

      This is basically the 21st century equivalent of a voodoo doll – hurt the doll, hurt the person. As I recall, they used those dolls to create pain or death, never to give somebody a new wife or vast riches.

      1. A voodoo doll victim does’t usually stick the pin in himself. I guess this is really just fancy-schmancy Russian roulette.
