Tuna does Greenaway, part 4: Julia Ormond in The Baby of Macon

As much as I love to look at Julia Ormond naked, and as much as I occasionally enjoy an eccentric movie, this film is too odd for me to endure without the fast-forward button:

  1. I don’t like torture mind you, but I think I may prefer several forms of torture to having to sit thru a Greenaway film.

    1. He has two extremes in his career that I hate – the incredibly boring (The Draughtman’s Contract may be the most boring film ever made by a “NAME” director – even including Terrence Malick) and the cruelly weird (The Baby of Macon).

In between those extremes, I have often enjoyed his aesthetics, his obsessions, and his love of naked women.
