Tuna on Rollergirl, Part 1 – when she really was playing Rollergirl

Before there was Sydney Sweeney or Daddario, even before there was Katie Holmes, there was a site favorite named Heather Graham, and posts of her are among the most popular even today, even when they picture her in her 50s. I used to say that Jennifer Connelly was the most downloaded woman in the history of my sites, and that was certainly true at one time, even when Heather Graham was in her prime. No longer. Connelly is still beautiful and elegant, but she’s no longer in our spotlight. The fact of the matter is that Heather Graham has outlasted her. She has endured. Like the dude, Rollergirl abides.

It pretty much goes without saying that this was selected as our top nude scene of 1997. It got more than three times as many votes as the next selection.

  1. Revisited the 1997 poll. Wow! It was quite a year for on-screen nudity! Roller Girl, Jennifer Connelly, Jamie Pressly, Charlize Theron, and Kari Wuhrer are the Top 5, but the roster has some serious depth! Angie Harmon, Emily Procter, Kate Winslet, Helena Bonham Carter, Connie Neilsen, Dina Meyer, Hellen Hunt, Lucy Liu, and the list goes on and on.

    1. It’s interesting to note the source of the 1997 nude scenes. The overwhelming majority came from theatrically-released films.

The changes seem like a slow and insignificant evolution as we experience them in real time, but when we look at the sum of what has happened in 25 years, the upheaval seems less evolutionary than revolutionary.

      1. In the pre-Sopranos era, cable tv nudity was often just soft-core porn or something close to it. Premium cable wasn’t considered a place to watch quality programming. Nowadays most everything is being streamed to people’s homes and the theater is a dying entity. They mostly seem to just want to put big family-oriented blockbusters in the theater to sell as many tickets as possible.

        1. Exactly, something like The Voyeurs with Sydney Sweeney would have opened on 1500 screens 25 yrs ago
