It’s funny how these things go.
It’s you’d asked me, given career and personal trajectory, I’d have said the DAY she turned 18 she’d take a serious adult role involving explicit nudity.
And it turns out (according to her) a stupid meme killed her body confidence and has made her one of the most nudity shy actresses of her generation and kind of killed her career trajectory, leaving a lot of major roles to the Florence Pughs of the world who have zero fear.
Seems to me she’s just a typical Hollywood kid coming up thru the system, playing by the rules and making good money. I don’t know many of the younger actors/actresses of today, but I’ve heard of her plenty. Most of these Hollywood kids getting the young star treatment never go out and do a ton of nudity. Maybe someday if she starts getting the has-been treatment, she’ll change.
I’d add that, for a lot of child-actors-transitioning-to-adults, doing nudity is often part of a whole “proving I’m not a kid anymore” phase, a deliberate image modification. For CGM, so many of her child-actor roles were playing these wise-beyond-their-years pseudo-adults. So in many ways, she never needed that image-modification tactic.
