By performing the highly coveted double hand-job scene featuring two superstar actors in Bertolucci’s 1900, Stefania raised herself from her previous career in obscure Eurocrap to instant international recognition.
She was soon writing and even directing her own feature films and documentaries. In fact, she was once nominated for an Italian Academy Award (called the Donatellos) as a director!
Now in her 70s, she still pops into the film industry from time to time, but is right back into her former haunts in obscure European films. (Join me in a chorus of “The Circle of Life.”)
