Angle Dickinson starts the movie with yet another shower scene, and the nudity includes close-ups of breasts and crotch. Unfortunately, the extreme nudity was performed by Angie’s body double (Victoria Lynn Johnson).

What a shame there was no nudity in films when Angie was young. She was absolutely gorgeous in Rio Bravo (1959) -with brown hair and a little more meat on her thighs. She was already in her mid-30s by the time nudity had reached the American mainstream.
She was 42 when she did Big Bad Mama, and she looked great, but I think she also knew when it was time to quit.
Everyone can’t be Salma Hayek or Helen Mirren.
Just a few years before, Angie had done her own full frontal nudity in the low budget sleaze fest Big Bad Mama, stooping to having sex with no less than James T. Kirk. I wonder why she got modest for this big budget, high profile director? Did she feel the few years since had not been kind to her body?
Damn shame.
I think from looking at her nudity in Dressed to Kill that the 6 years made a big difference. The body double for the close ups were rather necessary in Dressed to Kill.
Also worth noting that a lot had changed since the early 70s business-wise. Quite a few actresses in Hollywood were doing nudity in the early 70s that pretty much stopped afterwards as the big studios were trying to put the clamps on it. One example would be Jacqueline Bisset, but there are others. Bisset did a decent number of nude scenes in the early 70s, but when she did the wet t-shirt scene in The Deep, the US media attacked her. They painted her as an actress not to be taken seriously and she had to defend herself. I remember her actually saying on a talk show that she and the director had no idea the scene would look like that which is obviously ridiculous. All throughout the 80s, actresses were forced to defend even the smallest amount of nudity in films and that attitude still continues in much of Hollywood today.
Or it could be that even simulating sex with The Shat was enough to put her off all nudity, filmed or not.
