My dream TV series is a Boorman-inspired Excalibur show with all the epic storytelling, weirdness, music and, of course, sex and violence. Game of Thrones scratches some of the itch, but isn’t at all weird-bordering-campy the way Excalibur is. I never watched the Starz Camelot series so I have no idea if it was any good, but Eva Green seemed like inspired casting as Morgan. Anyway, we’ll be over-inundated with prestige fantasy shows soon with GoT spinoffs and Amazon’s Lord of the Rings show, so it’ll be interesting to see if someone tries a mature Arthurian show again.
