Isaac Asimov really put himself on the map as a science-fiction author around 1940, when he wrote about a planet with 3 (or more) suns, where night only came once about every 6,000 years. It was called “Nightfall”, and I still like it.
I think it was made into a movie only once, and the results were dreadful, which is what you would expect since it was produced by Roger Corman:
