I haven’t thought about Katrina Bowden in quite some time. About a decade ago she did some nudity in Nurse 3D, but it was supposedly the product of .cgi. (See comments)

Since there are so many opinions, I’ll say that, to me, it looks like the trailer cuts off the bottom of the frame a bit too high for the original bikini bottom to be clearly discernible. To ensure the viewer thinks it’s clothing & not some artifact, a fake bottom was added by CGI. I believe she was originally not wearing a top, though we can’t tell if she has nipple covers on. (I assume so.) CGI was already being done, to add the top. This CGI looks more like body paint than cloth. It was done on the cheap, & it shows.
Meanwhile, the original print didn’t need CGI. But, to get to the full nude that we’re familiar with, only the bottom would need to be CGI’d out. That’s what I’m claiming happened.
MysteryEP is making suppositions. I suppose, he’s making shit up. His opinion is self-reinforcing motivated logic & adds nothing to the facts we can see for ourselves. Roger, IIRC, is Batty. One thing we know about him is, he’s a wishful thinker. I’m a wishful thinker, too. But that’s why I look hard & try to be careful. In the end, I came to the same conclusion as the Reddit OP, FirePowerCR. I wasn’t aware of this particular Reddit thread, before now.

Not according to me. BD, I believe. Whatever goodies we saw are not Ms. Bowden. If I’ve missed some evidence, kindly refute me. I’d be thrilled.
OK, slight retraction. BD was in Sex Drive. Nurse butt was CGI to erase underwear.
I’m not sure about that. There are three different versions, a nude and two different bikinis. It never made sense to me that people would .cgi one bikini to another, so I always assumed the nude was real and the bikinis were added for a pg-rated trailer and a TV version.
But some other people did conclude that the rippling water didn’t look right in the nude version, so that may be right. Others disagreed.
It’s still strange that the trailer includes a bikini top and bottom, while the Netflix/TV version includes a bikini bottom only. Given that her breasts were not exposed, why would they spend money to CGI out the top, especially in a 3-D movie where the CGI costs twice as much? Odd stuff.
Have there been comments from Bowden or the techies on the matter?

Also, FWIW, I see butt cheeks as on the wrong side of the NSFW/SFW divide. I don’t see (covered) or “we don’t see the good stuff” as “real” nudity. MEW’s ass in Fargo isn’t her nudity debut. Not unless you believe part of her vulva is visible underneath. I do look for that. If that’s not there, it doesn’t break the nudity cherry. Not in my book.
I’ve often struggled on this one as the nude version looks quite real while the bikini versions look pretty fake. Since she usually does almost nudes though, it wouldn’t be surprising if she wasn’t bottomless.
I heard some comments from the director talking about Paz’ bottomless scene in which he talked about how Paz was great about doing it and that he didn’t want anything fake in his movies. That made me think that maybe the CGI was added later for trailers since the director seems to be against those kinds of things.
Never heard anything from Bowden on this. Everyone in Hollywood seems to want to be super secretive about these things.
Yeah, but the director beats around the bush, no pun intended. Never directly says Katrina is nude too in Paz ff scene. Remember, Paz is talking to Katrina. No indication one way or the other if Katrina’s nude too, at the time. Ergo, not.
You tiptoe around that people are “super secretive”. News flash! Everybody lies.
Quote at the end, that Roger didn’t highlight: “[the ratings board] said we had too much full frontal of Paz… the girls wake up after having been [drunk] the night before… and had a 3way with [a] guy… Paz is… just standing there, full frontal, talking to Katrina before she even puts a bra on. We had to minimize that, so… now, her bra goes on much sooner so she’s not just *naked*.”
There it is. Paz is nude. Katrina? Yeah, well, not so much, I suppose.
My claim, same as the Reddit OP also decided, is that the addition of clothing in the trailer & censored cut for free cable was one CGI job, a bad one. The CGI to just remove the bikini bottom was a different job & was much more convincing.
Which is a supposition. But it’s what I find the least implausible take on the evidence Scoopy based his own guess on.
Let me flesh out one little detail of my version: If, indeed, Bowden was upset about the latter CGI & she had been wearing a bottom, the reason it would have been shot that way would likely be that the plan had been that they were only going to use the above the waist shot. Later, a decision was made to use the rest of the frame. Something had to be done about that out-of-place item of clothing in the shower. Note that it’s not a particularly good-looking bikini bottom.
I would surmise Bowden wasn’t consulted for either of these decisions. OTOH, Roger’s emailer might just as well have been full of shit, too.
Still, word on the street has long been that Bowden insists on her “water-tight non-nudity clause” that Roger refers to, AKA her “iron clad nudity rider”, as the emailer calls it, & it’s the more precise term. I believe that particular rumor, & that it’s the most credible & salient factoid in front of us.
