  1. To me there are only about five that really stand the test of time, and two of them were in the same year (Johansson and Daddario). Rosario’s is another, and the sum total of the Khaleesi’s scenes in season one, although that performance only finished tenth in its own year! The fifth would be Sarah Silverman and Michelle Williams stark naked in the shower.

    But there were other scenes just as great as those. If you’re really into Margot Robbie, for example, you may have a different opinion. Those other performances just didn’t leave as strong an imprint on me, so I don’t recall them without reviewing my notes, whereas I pull up the other five unprompted. I’d certainly be willing to listen to any other argumentation.

    If we look at the two decades of this century, I think I’m still all in on Eva Green in the Dreamers for the best nude performance of the new millennium.

    2. The thing that stands out about Dawson’s scene is its audacity. Its not just that its a great scene from a capable actress. Her shaved cooch was an essential plot point. I don’t think there’s anything quite like it.

      Another comparable scene for me was Dichen Lachmann from Altered Carbon. Martha Higareda and Kristin Lehman both provided lovely scenes and are arguably better looking actresses. Neither of them appeared buck naked as a series of clones engaged in a long fight scene. Again, its unique.

  2. I would be agreeable to that if I could glance at it and recognize all of them without any problem.

    Considering I only recognized 9 of the scenes by sight, but even out of those 9, I only knew the names of 7 of the actresses is telling more than anything.

    If I looked back through the best of from 2010-2018, I could probably find 12 just as good with instant name recognition as well.

    And I agree with someone up above Rosario Dawson’s scene from Trance is just as good as any of these.
