Stage nudity: Alice Ripley

Alice Ripley in The Rocky Horror Show (Broadway, 2001)

  1. I saw the Rocky Horror Show on Broadway the night before it closed in 2001. Dick Cavett was the narrator and he was hysterical. They actually reopened a few weeks later for a limited run with different people playing the narrator each week. I enjoyed it so much I bought front row seats to see it again. I could have picked a night to see Cavett again, but having already seen him, I decided to see a different person. So I bought tickets for a night Jerry Springer was narrating. He was OK, but not nearly as good as Cavett. But there was another cast change I will never forget. I’m not a particularly tall guy (5′ 9″) but I am on the heavy side. But as the show ended that didn’t stop Riff Raff (played by Sebastian Bach) from lifting me up and spinning me around. Lynn Manuel Miranda never did that to me. Though in fairness, I haven’t seen him in person yet.
