Snark aside, the reality is that she refused to condemn the Armenian genocide.

All the lefty pundits had a field day when Trump failed to condemn Nazis. There’s exactly one thing as clearly condemnable as Nazis – genocide. Let’s watch to see the liberal hypocrisy on this one.

Certain problematic areas were hidden in the ellipses

“Lt. Col. Alexander S. Vindman, the top Ukraine expert on the National Security Council, told House impeachment investigators on Tuesday that the White House transcript of a July call between President Trump and Ukraine’s president omitted crucial words and phrases, and that his attempts to include them failed, according to three people familiar with the testimony.

The omissions, Colonel Vindman said, included Mr. Trump’s assertion that there were recordings of former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. discussing Ukraine corruption, and an explicit mention by Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky, of Burisma Holdings, the energy company whose board employed Mr. Biden’s son Hunter.

Colonel Vindman, who appeared on Capitol Hill wearing his dark blue Army dress uniform and military medals, told House impeachment investigators that he tried to change the reconstructed transcript made by the White House staff to reflect the omissions. But while some of his edits appeared to have been successful, he said, those two corrections were not made.”

As usual, the right-wing response is to attack this man. Although that is despicable, I understand completely. It is not possible to dispute the facts, so they have no other option.

The Daily Mail covered this in some depth

She has now resigned. Here is “A Guide to the Incredibly Complicated Katie Hill Scandal.” OK, I confess. I didn’t read it. I looked down the page, and nobody was naked.

Follow-up:

About two weeks ago, I noted that RCP’s poll summary had made Elizabeth Warren the official front-runner. She is now back-running.

As of now, RCP’s composite says:

Biden 28
Warren 22
Sanders 18
Buttigieg 7
Harris 5

The only poll taken this week (Politico) is quite consistent with that:

Biden 32
Warren 20
Sanders 20
Buttigieg 7
Harris 6

On the other hand, Biden’s lead over Trump has dropped to about 7. That may drop further when the polls are recent enough to include the deaths of Baghdadi and some of his lieutenants.
